Hello and welcome! I am Nikki Deziel, LPC, (she/her), owner of Expansive Energy Counseling. I know even considering therapy can be a strange process so kudos to you for being curious about what may be possible with new insights and new action!

I have been in the mental health field since 2000 and specifically as a psychotherapist since 2007. My career journey includes outpatient practice, inpatient practice, school-based services, county work, in home services, equine psychotherapy and clinical supervision. I identify as an intuitive, highly sensitive human who would prefer to rescue ALL the animals, never gets sick of the sun and has too many embarrassing moments to count! I am a Human Affirming therapist. When I’m not working, I’m connecting with family, friends, and animals, trying to be healthy, being a weird human or plotting my next needed change.

In my years of mental health experience, both personally and professionally, my passion for releasing trauma, improving relational patterns and building self-trust, has continued to grow and inform my practice. I know how hard this work is, including owning what you ACTUALLY want, holding yourself with compassion for what has already occurred, and creating accountability for your desired change. My hope is to continue to support others in their journey of expansion by creating a safe, curious and compassionate environment where your energy can move and inform your guidance system. I know how trauma erodes self-trust and leaves you feeling disconnected from your inner guide. Psychotherapy is one avenue to assist humans with releasing protective patterns, strengthening their relationship to self, and building a life that aligns more fully with you. Let's do this work!
